As We Gear Up For the New Year: An Opportunity For Trained Leaders

Posted on Jul 10 2014 - 9:28am

Although we are "Dark" this month, we here @ "Tiburon on the Web"  had a chance to catch up with our District Commisioner, Mr. Dart.  He advised of an opportunity for leadership training available through the San Diego Council.  We have attached this for reference and hope that Scouters will consider attending it.

We Will be "Dark" For July 2014....

Posted on Jun 26 2014 - 3:44pm

"Tiburon On the Web"  will be Dark in July.  There will be no further Weekly "Tiburon on the Web" Weekly Eblasts.

Please also note that District Roundtable will also be "dark" and not be held in July  so that Scouting units can put the

"Outing in Scouting" and take their units to the Great Outdoors!

We'll Back on track in August as Units begin the Annual Planning Process w/visits w/the Commisioners and of course our
August 14 Roundtable and the  Annual Chili Cook off!

Onward to the Summer!!!

Posted on Jun 26 2014 - 3:44pm

On the Eve of "Going Dark": Catching Up w/our District Advancement Chair

Posted on Jun 26 2014 - 3:25pm

We here @ Tiburon the Web were able to catch up with our District Advancement Chair upon his return from vacation. We again wanted to express our appreciation to him as he took time from his vacation to provide guidance on the on-going questions on Advancement.

As we're going "dark" here @ "Tiburon on the Web", he underscored some guidance  for all prospective Eagle Candidates which is hereby noted below for reference:
  •  Eagle Project Proposals should be approved ahead of time and properly accepted by all parties when completed
  • Proposal approval responsibility lies largely with the Unit Committee although the last signature for Proposal approval should come from the Council/District representative
  • The Board of Review makes the final determination if the Project meets Eagle Scout Requirement #5. The Eagle Scout Service Project Workbook covers ALL Project information that is necessary for a Scout to follow.

If there are any questions or concerns, please reach out to our District Advancement Chair.
